A freelance Professional Hair and Makeup Artist and Body Painter, also trained in Media, Fashion and SFX.
With a lifelong passion for art, make-up, and everything creative, Laura pursued her career more intensively and studied with the esteemed Parisian Academy ‘Make Up For Ever'.
Following her graduation, she was quick to transition to the artistic team at Make Up For Ever, supporting Pro-Team activities for brands within LVMH such as Louis Vuitton, Bvlgari, and Givenchy; various runway, presentations, trunk shows, Live TV, runway and red carpet events.
Laura freelances in commercial and fashion-based work, and as an educator at private schools, universities and delivering enrichment days at schools and charities - teaching makeup across beauty, fashion, tv and creative makeup.
Knowing the challenges new artists face entering the industry, she founded Backstage Artists, to connect newly graduated students with industry contacts to help them gain their first work experience. This includes Laura keying shows and leading the team of students for Universities participating in Graduate Fashion Week.
Laura has published work with British Vogue, Vogue online, Bck Magazine, Temper Magazine, Off, Harpers Bazaar Kids and Make Up For Ever Online (China).
Having also studied Special FX at Vancouver Film School. She has a strong passion and creative skill set for character design.
Laura’s influences are Vivienne Westwood, Iris Van Herpen, Jody Morlock, and Susanne Bartsch.
